The PIRP is a 6-hour comprehensive driver safety course that will provide you with the knowledge and techniques for safe, lawful driving.The course is made up of 8 chapters and covers various topics such as
Responsible driving practices
Up-to-date New York driving laws
New York traffic sign knowledge
Defensive driving strategies and techniques

At the end of each chapter you will be required to take a 3-question quiz reviewing the material that was just covered. Once all of these quizzes are completed, you have finished the course! There is no final exam.

This course will help you get up to 4 points reduced from your driving record, and will prevent your New York driver’s license from getting suspended in the event you accrued 11 or more points on your driving record within an 18 month period.

In addition, this course, approved by the New York Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, meets all the requirements for you to qualify for a mandatory 10% discount on your car insurance for 3 years.
